*RESERVED DO NOT BUY* Commodore 16
Part of the "264" range of Commodores, this was their intended serious successor to the C64. Unfortunately it wasn't as capable and sold much worse.
The C16 was marketed at the VIC-20 space, i.e. the budget microcomputer. Hence it only has 16KB RAM. The limitations of the TED chip meant it was no good for games like the C64 was.
Nearly all of the 264 range machines are no-longer working because the 8501 CPU dies very easily, possibly due to a design fault. Obviously all our machines are tested working, and have heatsinks on the vulnerable chips to keep them alive.

  • 1.76MHz 7501/8501 CPU
  • TED chip for graphics, sound and input/output
  • Enhanced BASIC including graphics commands
  • 121 colours on screen
  • 2 channel sound, one channel can be used as noise
