Many old computers were designed using components that ran hot. After 30 years or more, this can put too much strain on already fragile chips.
A heatsink can prolong the lifespan of your machine, by protecting those components that are vulnerable to heat and so expensive to replace!
This heatsink is suitable for:
Sinclair ZX81 ULA
Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K Plus ULA (model with plastic keys)
Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128K Plus "Toastrack" ULA
Commodore 16 or Plus/4 CPU (HIGHLY recommended)
Commodore 16 TED (HIGHLY recommended - not necessary on plus/4)
Please note the heatsink requires a thin layer of thermal adhesive paste to remain fixed to a chip. We recommend Thermal Adhesive by Arctic Alumina.
If you're looking to prolong life of your ZX Spectrum 16K/48K (Rubber Key model) please see our Refurbishment Service.
